Drawings and sketches from over the years
Graphite and charcoal on 320 gsm textured paper
420 x 594 mm
This piece was showcased at the Queensland University of Technology graduate exhibition: Disrupt 2017. The piece was created with graphite and charcoal pencils on textured paper, adapted from a photograph I took of local sign painter and friend, Joe O’Toole. The contrasting colours of his shirt, the bitumen and sky created an appealing contrast, and the photo captures his skill as a skater.
Shot in 2013 on the streets of Newmarket, Brisbane.
Graphite on 320 gsm  textured paper

Still In progress, this drawing was also featured at the Disrupt Graduate Exhibition in 2017 as part of my final body of work. Using graphite pencils on textured paper, this piece was drawn from photographic reference of a Squier Stratocaster. The body of the guitar was completed using shading stumps, in an attempt to mimic its reflective, glossy surface.
